Discovered Life and Caresoil join efforts in a meeting on soils remediation

The DISCOVERED LIFE project has participated in the conference "Joining forces in the characterization and remediation of contaminated sites by non-aqueous liquid phases: Administration, Enterprise, University" organized under the frame of CARESOIL project. This event was held in the Auditorium of the Gomez Pardo Foundation, the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
CARESOIL is an “R & D Technologies 2013” of the Community of Madrid, which includes six research groups from the Complutense and Polytechnic University of Madrid, and several companies and partners, national and foreign researchers. It aims to develop advanced processes and technologies in the field of characterization, remediation, and modelling and environmental risk assessment of contaminated soils.
The event was presented by Rafael García Muñoz, Assistant Director General for Research of the Community of Madrid, José Luis Parra and Alfaro, Director of the School of Mines and Energy of the UPM and D. Arturo Romero Salvador, coordinator CARESOIL program. Also, in addition to Discovered Life participation, it was attended by leading representatives of the General Department of Waste Management and Environmental Quality of the Community of Madrid, Branch General waste MAGRAMA, RENFE Manufacturing and Maintenance, EMGRISA, Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad Politecnica de Madrid.
This conference, which was attended by a large number of professionals and specialists, provided a framework for analysis from various points of view such as the situation and peculiarities of the contaminated sites in Spain.
